Sian has been with us since November 2024 and in that time has made an incredible mark on the business, our colleagues, and our customers. She’s an integral part of our team, and although most of us here are fuelled by endless mugs of Yorkshire Tea, Sian is a coffee devotee. Don’t worry though, she’s known for making a cracking brew for visitors!
Here’s a look at a typical day in Sian’s own words:
“Although my job title is Administrator, my role is much more than that. I help out across many areas of the business, including customer service, accounts, building maintenance and sales order processing, and if I have time, even some digital marketing!
I start every day by processing sales orders and answering customer queries. If you phone or email Cair HQ, chances are you’ll speak to me! Customer service is my passion and I genuinely enjoy being helpful to others. It’s so important that people have access to our products, and I’m very proud to be part of a team that helps keep vulnerable people safe.
As well as handling sales orders and customer queries, I also deal with returns. That means regular checks on the progress of returns and liaising with customers to keep everything running smoothly.
Once all the orders and queries have been answered, I move on to invoicing and any other admin I can help our accounts team with, because boy do they work hard (and no one likes admin… apart from me! haha).
As you can imagine, on a large manufacturing site issues arise all the time involving the upkeep of the building, anything from leaky sinks to broken doors. There’s always something that needs updating or repairing. It’s my responsibility to manage the workload of our gardener, cleaner and handyman.
In my spare time I also arrange work anniversary gifts and special occasion gifts for our employees. Recently one of our team got married, so we sent them a delicious hamper of Cornish treats to celebrate!
If we have anything exciting happening in the building, I’ll try to grab some snaps or videos for our social media pages. I’m also working on some how-to videos with my colleague Lowri for all of our products. Our customers find video demonstrations really helpful!”
Sian’s energy, warmth and attention to detail shine through in everything she does, she keeps our operations running smoothly and our customers supported, all with a big smile (and a strong coffee) in hand.
