Location: Halifax  

• Researching and developing designs for products and systems
• Problem and data analysis and proposing innovative solutions
• Liaising with internal/external customers/departments as required
• Contributing to new product development and lifecycle management
• Working on defined projects to agreed delivery timescales to meet customer demand
• Assisting in product development from concept to launch 
• Working collaboratively with other project engineers to ensure handover to production is timely and complete, to include necessary custom test equipment 
• Contributing to designing and embedding research and development processes
• Inventing and/or improving on products and processes, producing detailed designs, including CAD/CAE as required
• Ensuring products meet project-defined regulatory and safety requirements 
• Providing guidance and assistance as required to the Development Technician
• Working to company procedures, policies and standards
• Adhering to Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental guidelines
• Undertaking other such duties as may be required within the general scope of the job
